Outdoor Adventures

Challenge Yourself!

Camp Hollymont provides opportunities for new and exciting adventures everywhere you look. We also offer a variety of off-campus experiences for those campers who crave that extra adrenaline rush!

Hiking, Outdoor Living, & Overnight Camping

Whether it’s signing up for a day trip or venturing with a group of friends in Nature Walk, campers get the chance to explore our Smokey Mountains. Campers who want to learn how to survive in the great outdoors can participate in Outdoor Living skill. Campers learn how to tie knots, filter water, build a fire, administer basic first aid, and more. Campers of all ages can sign up for our overnight campout, where they can put their knowledge to the test by setting up the campsite, cooking dinner and enjoying fellowship by the fire. No matter what you choose, our outdoor adventures offer the chance to see all that Georgia has to offer with your camp friends!

High Ropes & Zipline

More than just a zipline, take a day trip to the Chattooga River Zipline, where you’ll explore multiple ecosystems and into grand old White Oak and Maple treetops. Our zipline features over ½ mile of air time with 2 sky bridges, 10 ziplines between trees and platforms, including 4 zips across Academy Lake, and ends with the 1200 foot Bell Tower Express that launches off our 50 foot tower.

Horseback Riding

Horseback trail rides are provided by the Dillard House Stables, located right across the street! Once you’re saddled up, you’ll be guided on an hour-long ride as you go through pastures, traveling alongside the Little Tennessee River, and finally making a loop through lush green forest and returning through the river. Your daughter will experience and enjoy breathtaking mountain views, and an abundance of natural greenery. Horse lovers can sign up for multiple trail rides.

Whitewater Rafting

Spend the day experiencing the national wild & scenic Chattooga River. The Section III fully guided trip offers 7 hours of fun with rolling Class I, II and III rapids that increase in difficulty as the day progresses. You’ll practice your rafting skills over a variety of rapids with the option to test yourself on Bull Sluice, the famous Class IV rapid, the largest rapid on Section III. Dropping 14 feet over a series of two drops, this challenging rapid provides a resounding introduction to the 2 miles of technical rapids downstream. A yummy buffet lunch on the river is a great time to relax and reflect on all the fun you’re having this summer!
